Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call the SFPD 24-hour-tip line at 1-41 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD. While an arrest has been made, this remains an open investigation. Investigators developed probable cause to arrest Allen who is also currently on probation and has a court order to stay-away from Turk and Hyde Streets.Īllen was booked into San Francisco County Jail for the following felony and misdemeanor charges: aggravated assault with force (245(a)(1) PC), elder abuse with great bodily injury (368(b)(1) PC), battery with great bodily injury (243(d) PC), inflict great bodily injury on elder during a felony (12022.7e PC), committing a felony while on pre-trial release (12022.1 PC), violation of stay-away order (166(a)(4) PC), and injuring a person due to perceived race (422.6(a) PC). At approximately 8:11 PM, within 12 hours of the assault, Tenderloin Station officers located the suspect and placed him into custody at Turk & Hyde Streets. The SFPD Night Investigations Unit (NIU) took over the investigation. Medics transported the victim to the hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The victim managed to walk to the 300 block of Turk Street where medics were called to aid the victim. Good Samaritans came to the aid of the victim and assisted the victim off the ground. Officers arrived at the hospital and met with an 83-year-old male victim who stated that he was walking on the 200 block of Turk Street at approximately 9:45 AM when an unknown male approached him and without provocation pushed him to the pavement. On Sunday, Februpolice officers from Tenderloin Station responded to a local hospital regarding a report of an assault.
